1957 Rudge

Also from Tim, a lovely 1957 Rudge. I wonder if this bike has a name as well...

Here are some pics of a 1957 Rudge Sports that we restored. The bike had been left outside for years and was faded, rusted and covered with pine sap. The bike has the rare Sturmey Archer SW hub which has a reputation for unreliability, but this one works great! Surprisingly, we were able to restore the bike and salvage the great old decals. Check out the decal graphics and chain ring! The hand design on the chain ring and logo on the decal refer to the Rudge motto: Britain's Best [handbuilt] Bicycle."

I found the same bike! it has a registration of 1964 from Gilroy California. This bike is in good condition. The part that it is missing is the guard chain and the front fender
